It's Game Day! | 10+ Football Party Ideas

Y'all.

It's the start of football season and I can't be more excited.  I will be the first to admit I used to never watch football.  My husband would watch faithfully every time a game was on and I would watch (aka read a book, paint my nails, play on my phone, etc).  Eventually I started asking questions and getting more and more into it.

Then my husband took me to a Texans game and from that moment on I was sold.  I got invested into the players, the team, and became a fan for life. And what goes with a good game?  A great party!

Signage

With these free printables from Three Little Monkeys Studio you can't go wrong.

or these free printables from Second Chance to Dream.

Invites

You can go with the simple social media invite but if you want something more personal how about these cute ones from BrooklyDesignStudio on etsy.

or these kickoff ticket party invites from QtPieWrappers
or maybe you need a birthday invite and this one from MonsterInvitations is adorable!

Games
What fun is a party with no games?  The answer is not fun at all.

So why not try out pin the football for a field goal game from Rust and Sunshine?

or this free printable Game Day Bingo game perfect for the Superbowl from She Knows.

A DIY Turf Table from Lowes is perfect for tailgating.

Food
A perfect football party is all about great food.

These adorable ice cream football ice cream sandwiches from The Celebration Shoppe are perfect for your football party.

She Knows has a tutorial to make these goal post straws for game day drinks.

or a hot dog bar from Mod City Magazine that everyone will love.

Game Day Fashion
Sure you could just throw on a jersey with some jeans.

Or you can rock this awesome sweatshirt from Look Human

or this shirt from TexasSweetTeas on etsy.

Maybe some football nail art?

Is your family big on football?  If so what are your game day traditions or go to party favorites?  Leave a comment below to let me know!

  9. Since we moved about an hour and a half away from family & friends our football party days have lessened but we still do it up, just the two of us. We like to do themed alcoholic beverages - & my husband believes we need to do shots every time his (or my) team scores. We have a ton of fun, & these are some great ideas for our next big gathering.

I'm not sure I'm always "watching" with two little boys in the house however it's def a fun tradition to have some family game time. I love your ideas in the post - I might have to do the hotdog bar one Sunday and those ice cream football sandwiches are TOO cute! :)
