Children's Musuem

The little man and I had a play date with one of my old friends from high school who also now lives in Texas (small south world).  Now don't get me wrong, I was really excited about this.  One, adult interaction (finally) even if it was mainly talking about our kids.  Second, Jay doesn't get many play dates.  He loves playing with kids and never really gets the opportunity.  But my brain kept saying "You need to do some laundry", "That yard sure could use some work"  "You still have to go Christmas shopping for your upcoming trip".  I pushed all those aside, put my big girl panties on, and went.  I was so glad I did.  We both had a great time.

We went to The Woodlands Children's Museum.  I liked how it was an open space and the kids could run around interacting with each area but I didn't find it was really a museum.

It was more of dramatic play but I am ok with that.  It only cost $5 per person to get in for all day.

On the way home, I realized that I need to push all the "needs to be done ASAP" out of my head.  My son won't care if the yard is nice and trimmed, if the clothes overtook the laundry room, or  if I dusted today.  What he will care about is the fun he had hanging out with his new little friend.

  2. Hi Amie!
It sounds like a great day to me. My husband and I have been home together for three week (for winter vacation). I was so ready to talk to someone else other than family, I crashed my daughter's play date (yes, I invited myself) so I could chat with her play date's mom. We need those interactions!!! A happy mama makes for a happy home :)

Anyway, I found you on Bloggy Moms and wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.
    Happy Blogging!!
